2019 Summer Transitional Shelter: St. Paul Thai Lutheran

DINNER PROVIDER:

You are asked to provide dinner onsite at the shelter for up to 15 guests and whoever in your group wants to join them. Guests will help serve dinner and help clean up alongside the meal providers. Dinner will be served family style. Housing Forward provides plates, cups, and utensils. Food should arrive at between 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm. Dinner ideas include: spaghetti and meatballs, casseroles, lasagna, meatloaf and mashed potatoes, hamburgers and hot dogs, stews, shepherd's pie, baked chicken. Add a side salad or vegetable with a dessert of cookies/brownies/ice cream and you are set! Drinks of milk, juice, iced tea and water are great too. Remember it is 15 people plus whoever is eating from your group. You can cook at the church or prepare it at home and then bring it to the church.

BREAKFAST PROVIDER:

Breakfast providers are responsible for the purchase of a week's worth supply of breakfast food for up to 15 guests. Please drop off items on Monday, August 5th drop off supplies to the shelter location between 6:30pm - 8:30pm, when PADS staff will be there to let you in and show you where the food is stored.

Example Breakfast Supplies to Purchase:

***4 boxes of cereal – 4 gallons of milk – 3 gallons of juice  – 5 dozen eggs -  breakfast meats - 3 loaves of bread – yogurt  – jam/butter, as needed.

LUNCH PROVIDER:

Lunch providers are responsible for the purchase of a week's worth supply of lunch food for up to 15 guests. Please drop off items on Monday, August 5th to the shelter location between 6:30pm - 8:30pm, when PADS staff will be there to let you in and show you where the food is stored.

Example Lunch Supplies to Purchase:

***5 loaves of bread – peanut butter (large container) – jelly (large container) – 5 to 6 lbs of lunch meat – cheese (optional) Mayonnaise – drinks (soda, water, or juice boxes) - snacks (chips, cookies, granola bars) and fruit. All drink and snacks should be individually packaged. We also ask that the lunch providers bring plastic sandwich bags and paper lunch bags. The guests will use these for taking their lunches with them the following morning.
