St. John's Episcopal Church
Indoor Service of the Word, 10:30 AM
Indoor worship resumes at St. John's with services of the Word at 10:30 in our beautiful church. We will be taking great care with one another: All of us over age two must wear a mask for the duration of the service and maintain distance of six feet from those outside our household. Your entry, seating, and exit will be directed by our ushers- every other pew will be kept empty. Attendance is limited to 50 persons for now. Entry will be by the main Wheat Street doors only. Sadly, we will not be singing but we have resumed Holy Communion in the form of consecrated bread only. Nursery and Children's Worship will not be offered at this time, but the Nursery space will be available for parents who need to spend time with children there during worship.
Please don't forget the basics of safer attendance:
-Do not come if you have exhibited signs of illness within the last 48 hours such as a fever, cough, aches, or other symptoms of Covid-19. For an updated list of Covid-19 symptoms, visit cdc.gov.
-Parishioners who have been exposed to someone with Covid-19 within the last 14 days should stay home.
-Wear your mask, from the time you approach the entry area until you are headed home.
-Maintain, at all times, a distance of six feet from those outside your household.
-Wash your hands just before you come, for at least 20 seconds with soap and hot water.
-Inform one of the clergy if you are ill after attending worship at St. John's.
In all these things, please err on the side of caution out of love for one another.
We will take all the prudent measures we can, as well as asking your active participation in making our gatherings for worship safer. Yet we must remember that there are no guarantees. We must all consider our own situation, the needs of others, and know that the Spirit is with us whether we gather or remain dispersed.
