MATTER
Thank You for considering volunteering your time with MATTER. Your help will make a huge impact during this time. Meals are needed in the Twin Cities and are being requested in other areas of the United States. You will be packing the meals or packing kits that will be sent to other communities in need.
Safety:
We are spacing the packing times 30 minutes apart to ensure proper social distancing. Up to 12 people can pack during each time slot. The packing is done in a spacious warehouse and tables are well spaced. When a packing time is filled, no more people can be added to that time slot. Our packing stations are designed for 1 person per with spacing to maintain proper social distance. Or if a familar group wants to be together we can accommodate this model too. Please bring a face covering to wear during packing. Hand sanitizer is available. Please stay home if you are feeling ill (cough/fever/chills), or if you have been exposed to someone who is or has been ill (whether or not they have been diagnosed with COVID-19).
Shifts:
Please come to the MATTER office at 7005 Oxford Street, St. Louis Park. Look for the orange awning to enter the building. Shifts are in 2-hour increments, but you are not required to stay the full 2 hours. Only pack to your comfort level. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes. Minors need to be of the age they can pack at a station by themselves. Station tables are about 2 1/2 feet high. 12 yrs old and up is recommended.
Liability Waiver:
By volunteering here in Signup Genius you are agreeing to the following. In consideration for being allowed to participate in this activity, I release from liability and waive my right to sue MATTER, their employees, officers, volunteers and agents from any and all claims, including claims of the District’s negligence, resulting in any physical injury, illness (including death) or economic loss I may suffer or which may result from my participation in this Activity, travel to and from the Activity or any events incidental to this activity”.
