St. Francis de Sales Oratory Parishioners
MASS SCHEDULE UPDATE
If you are planning on attending Sunday Mass at St. Francis de Sales Oratory it is very important that you sign up each week so that we can remain within the capacity limits. Though the large size of the Oratory permits a sizable attendance for each of our Sunday Masses according to the St. Louis City guidelines, the rector has deemed it prudent to offer a third Mass in order to permit better distancing as we enter into the flu season. We have hand sanitizer and face coverings available for you in the 3 main vestibules.
Currently, Sunday Mass times are: 7:30am, 9:00am and 10:30am at the Oratory and 9:00am Mass at Holy Family Log Church in Cahokia.
Please be aware that the situation still remains uncertain and that the schedule could change again with little notice. Contact the rectory if you have questions.
Thank you for your patience.
ARCHDIOCESAN GUIDELINES
During the pandemic, the dispensation that was given by the Archdiocese of St. Louis concerning Mass attendance on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation is still in effect. For those who are older or who have well founded fear for their health, should in no way feel under any pressure to attend Mass at this time (provided, of course, that you do your best to sanctify the Lord’s Day religiously at home). Those who have flu symptoms or who have reason to believe they have been exposed to the virus should NOT come to church at this time, as an act of charity to others.
Also, the Archdiocese has requested that ushers not take up the collection during Sunday Masses. Your donations may be placed in the black donations bins located near the main entrances of the Oratory, or you may continue donating online. Thank you very much.
