LHS Instrumental Music Event Leads Sign Up

The LHS Music Program depends on volunteers like you to provide a quality experience for our students and attendees at our events. Please consider signing up to help us fill these important lead volunteer positions. Also keep an eye out for many other volunteer opportunities throughout the year. 

CCPS Volunteer Approval: For volunteers who will be working directly with our students or in the school building during in-school hours, please visit https://ext.carrollk12.org/volunteerext to complete the short volunteer form and read the volunteer handbook. This form will satisfy the requirement for the whole year.

Recruits "day-of" volunteers for marching band events and coordinates those volunteers.

MB Uniform Pants Washing Lead

Collects white uniform pants after competitions and distributes them to the volunteer white pants washers for cleaning. Coordinates putting away the pants after return.

MB Uniform Fitting Lead

Organize and coordinate volunteers to measure students for Marching Band Uniforms. Will assign and track uniforms for students for the Marching Band Season.

Works with Big Dipper Graphics to create a spirtwear sales page which families can order from individually. Orders some spirit wear in bulk for sales at band events. Sells spirit wear at band events and concerts.

Set up restaurant fundraisers with local businesses and coordinate publicity for the event with the Communication board member.

 

Claire's Gourmet Lead (September)

The coordinator will be the point of contact with vendor and parents and work with Communications coordinator and rest of Boosters to help spread the word. They will organize products on the delivery date and coordinate a pick-up schedule.

Baugher's Pie Sale Lead (November & April)

Will be the point of contact with Baugher's and parents, will take orders from parents, transport pies, organize orders and coordinate pick up.

Coffee Sale Lead (December)

Will be the point of contact with the vendor and parents. Will organize delivery and distribution of orders.

 

Holiday Grams Lead (December)

Will monitor/purchase inventory, coordinate in-school sales, coordinate assembly if needed, and coordinate delivery to advisory teachers. The coordinator does not have to be available for in-school sales times.

December Concert Refreshment Coordinator

Coordinates the request for donations, the set up of refreshments, the distribution of cookies both nights, and the clean up of the refreshment area.

 

Winter Concert Buffet Lead (In-School Event)

Coordinates the request for food donations with volunteer coordinator and leads other volunteers with set up of buffet, serving students, and clean up.

 

Jazz Band Pancake Breakfast Lead (February)

Coordinates the request for food donations with volunteer coordinator, picks up pancakes from IHOP, and leads other volunteers with set up of buffet, serving students, and clean up.

 

Valentine Grams Lead

Will monitor/purchase inventory, coordinate in-school sales, coordinate assembly if needed, and coordinate delivery to advisory teachers. The coordinator does not have to be available for in-school sales times.

Will be the point of contact for the vendor and parents and will organize products on the delivery date and coordinate a pick-up schedule.

 

Pops Concert Lead

Will coordinate decorations and raffles for the concert and assist Ms. Jason in preparation for the concert as needed.

 

Pops Concert Refreshments Lead

Coordinates request of bottled water, orders cupcakes & picks them up, purchases supply of patriotic plates, napkins, tableclothes, etc, coordinates volunteers to set up, serve and clean up.

 

Pops Concert Plant Donations

Solicits donations of plants used as decorations at the concert and pick up the plant donations and deliver them to the school. Helps set up the plants on the stage and sells the plants at the end of the concert.

Band Banquet Lead (May)

Coordinate the band banquet, reserve the hall, make arrangements with the catering company, order the cake, coordinate the decorations, coordinate clean up, etc.
