Would you like to help The Welcome to America Project and Phantom Cyclist repair bikes for refugees? Bikes mean greater freedom for the newly freed. Jobs, education and connection to community is in easier reach. We will be hosting outdoor, socially-distanced bike repair events this spring. The bikes that you repair will help us empower refugees in our community.
Please bring your own tools and bike stand to the event, if possible. This will help us maintain 6 ft of physical-distancing. If you don't have your own tools, you can borrow ours. All levels of repair experience are welcome, from beginning to expert. We will have all of the parts needed to fix each bike next to each bike so that we can maintain social-distancing throughout the event as much as possible.
If you have any friends or family with bike repair experience, please invite them to sign up and join us. The event will take place at the The Welcome to America Project warehouse located at 1711 W. University Dr. #158. Please meet us outside at the back of the warehouse. Questions? Contact 602-490-0088 or [email protected]
By scheduling a volunteer shift, all participants agree with the WTAP Volunteer Agreement and WTAP Safety Guidelines. Please review these documents under Related Files below.
