Riley’s Army excitedly invites all pediatric cancer survivors and their families to our 11th Annual Pediatric Cancer Survivor Dinner. The dinner will be sponsored by Riley’s Army on Monday March 18th at the Greenville Hilton. The dinner itself is from 5:30-7:30 pm but we will need volunteers from 2:00-8:00.
I hope you will consider volunteering for this year’s event in order to provide a “kid-friendly” opportunity for families of pediatric cancer patients and survivors to celebrate together. Any help with the Pediatric Cancer Survivor’s Dinner is greatly appreciated. We will need assistance with planning, decorating, coordinating an activity, pairing up with a family, and more.
We are requesting in-kind donations of items for door prizes- each survivor will receive a door prize (about 60 prizes), candy for the big long candy table (enough for about about 80 children) for all the children that attend, or monetary donations to help support this unique opportunity for these children from Eastern North Carolina. We have found (after last year’s dinner) that there are more teenage boys needing nice door prizes. Typically our age groups for door prizes are: 2-5, 6-10, 11-13, 13 and up. But that isn’t to say that a 5 year old cannot grab a door prize meant for an older age group. We allow the survivor to pick on their own what door prize they wish to get. So any help getting door prizes is greatly appreciated.
We also need volunteers to help make this a success! Many areas to help are listed below:
