Franklin Urban Greening Grant Maintenance
When parents at our school wrote and received the Urban Greening Grant that removed tons of asphalt and turned our campus into an oasis of native CA plants in 2016, our BFEF parent foundation also agreed to maintain the campus for a period of 20 years. This is why have the BFEF GREEN TEAM! Thank you Green Team Members, old and new for your stewardship of our beautiful Franklin campus!
OUR ONGOING DUTIES: We meet every three weeks on Friday mornings to weed/pick up litter and do other garden tasks including vine-weaving, weed pulling, pruning, planting and mulching. Many things can be done when YOU have time. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADOPT A GARDEN BED to take care of, or want to take on a specific task (like weeding or watering trees) on your OWN time, we welcome that! Just email Monica at [email protected] to coordinate.
BEFORE YOU VOLUNTEER EACH YEAR: Please fill out, initial, sign and return the VOLUNTEER FORM - https://www.gusd.net/Page/12352 along with your TB TEST RESULTS.
Email each school year to Sandra Gutierrez
Thank you Green Team!
