Ginger is a survivor of domestic violence. She has been moving forward towards self-sufficiency and helping her children to overcome the abuse they witnessed. Ginger is a motivated friendly woman and mother of four children (Bianca, Maria, Christian and David,). David has autism and Ginger oversees his treatment and cares for him at all times when he is not at school. Ginger is currently living in a safe home where she is responsible for all the bills and utilities. She has learned how to support her children and her biggest goals is to have a Christmas in a safe and peaceful environment surrounded by her children and their pets. The pets were also abused by her ex-partner. Everyone in the home is working on healing.
Messiah is a 17-year-old young man who has faced tremendous adversity in his life, including parental incarceration and poverty but has maintained personal high expectations of himself and a positive, upbeat and cheerful demeanor. Messiah has lofty goals in mind - no less than a bachelor's degree in biochemistry, to start with and to him, that is only the beginning. Messiah is focused on maintaining excellent academics, continued engagement in team sports and working part-time to help support his family. He would be grateful for any assistance offered to him during this holiday.
