First Congregational UCC DG
FCUCC is happy to be a part of Community Kitchen! Thank you for voluteering to serve and help our neighbors who are facing homelessness and/or food insecurity. We will be providing dinner every Monday night in April and also dinner on the second Friday of April, the 9th. Lunchmeat, cheese and bread are donated by Angelo's Food at Maple and Belmont. Soup and chili are donated by Jam n' Jelly located at 7511 Lemont Road.
Please arrive at the west entrance of the church at 4:45 pm to prepare the meals. We'll then put the meals on rolling carts and transport them to the Community Kitchen at our new property at 1101 Curtiss. Dinner will be served from 5:30-6:30 pm. Cleanup follows. The number of guests is very fluid. We can serve as few as 6 or as many as 20. There will always be an experienced volunteer at every shift.
Please remember to take proper safety precautions including wearing masks, gloves and practicing social distancing. Do not volunteer if you have been in contact with anyone or are experiencing any fever or other symptoms.
Please review available slots and click on the button to sign up. If you have any questions, please call Mary Dove at 630-935-6166. Thank you!
