Drive Up Emergency Essentials & Emergency Shopping Sign Up…
With the new shutdowns and restrictions, we know more families will be struggling financially; and it’s the holiday season, which provides extra stress. So, KAC Serves, the compassion & service ministries at Kenmore Alliance Church (located at 175 Bonnett Ave, Tonawanda, 14150), is happy to continue helping struggling WNY families during this hard time with emergency essentials.
We’ll maintain this service through mid-January, and then re-evaluate the community need. No transportation or delivery service available.
This is a free DRIVE-UP service for EMERGENCY ESSENTIAL SERVICE ONLY; and shouldn't be used if you have, have access to, or can purchase needed items yourself. This service is open to ALL WNY families. Days/times are POSTED WEEKLY and can change based on volunteers, need, & government regulations. All items are on a first come, first served basis.
EMERGENCY ESSENTIALS: This is a free curbside service for EMERGENCY essential household, hygiene, & baby/toddler assistance; and shouldn't be used if you have, or can purchase, needed items yourself. This service is open to ALL WNY families. ITEMS AVAILBLE: diapers, wipes, baby formula, baby food, baby/child hygiene items, pull-ups, bottles/sippy cups, shampoo/conditioner, soap, deo, toothbrush/toothpaste, feminine hygiene, liquid soap, detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, toiletry kits, etc. New socks and underwear are available for children once a month only.
TIME CHANGE FOR EMERGENCY ESSENTIALS - Time & dates will change due to holidays and volunteer availability. Be sure to check days/times. No mornings or evenings available for now.
EMERGENCY CLOTHING and SHOES: Families needing emergency children's clothing, shoes, & accessories who couldn't attend a Clothe Me Co-Op shopping event, have a foster placement, or have an emergency need may make a 30 minute appointment once a month for a limited number of items. This is for clothing and shoes only (other items available at CMC distributions). Items for newborn thru size 3T is limited to 16 per person. Items for sizes 4T & up are limited to 10 per person. Clothing can be pre-pulled for you to pick up curbside if needed (indicate need in comment including gender and size). Look for appts indicating "emergency shopping".
: DRIVE UP SERVICE STEPS
Step 1: Sign up for a time slot below.
Please be respectful and show up for your time slot - no shows keep others from receiving needed assistance. Note: Quantity means # of families, not people. Only 1 "qty" needed per family.
Step 2: Arrive during your time slot & drive around left side of building to the entrance loop. Park by orange cones. Mask is required (covering mouth & nose) at all times & can be provided for you if you don't have one.
Step 3: Ring door bell to right of entrance doors & come inside vestibule.
Step 4: Fill out "Emergency Request Form" on table to the right for the items most needed right now. Form is attached below for your reference.
Step 5: Volunteer will collect the completed form & pack requested items (as available) while you wait; and bring items to you. If doing emergency shopping, volunteer will come escort you in to the shopping area and back out of the building.
We generally also have FREE bread, bagels, & more from Panera Bread on-hand for families.
