Trail to First Class Weekend at Camp Tamarancho on November 1-3
Sign up for this event closes on October 22.
Scouts and Webelos -
On November 1-3, Troops 15 & 1015 will be hosting an overnight at the Shady Bend campsite in Camp Tamarancho to work on Trail to First Class rank achievements (see below).
The Scouts will head up on Friday & get things ready for the Webelos and their adult partners to come up on Saturday. The Webelos & their adult partners are encouraged to stay that Saturday night, too.
Depending on what the Troop plans, Scouts may also be mountain biking or hiking or using other facilities at the camp.
For the Webelos, rank advancement in Scouts is a bit different from the Cub Scouts. Here you can work on any of the rank requirements toward First Class in any order:
Second Class: http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/BoyScouts/AdvancementandAwards/secondclass.aspx
First Class: http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/BoyScouts/AdvancementandAwards/firstclass.aspx
Cost is $30 per Scout for the weekend, no charge for Webelos or parents. As always, Troop scholarships are available. Email [email protected] to apply before RSVP'ing via SignUpGenius.
Friday, November 1 - 6 p.m. Scouts will meet at the Shady Bend campsite, cook dinner, & make camp.
Saturday, November 2 - 10:00 a.m. Webelos & parents meet at the Shady Bend campsite. Note: this is a hike in campsite; however, one car can bring in gear. Please coordinate with Scoutmaster Kevin. Program to be determined by the Troop.
Sunday, November 3, 9:00 am - Pick up your Scout / Webelos at the Camp Tamarancho parking lot.
Scout Handbook - be sure to bring this in order to get your rank advancements signed off
