4/23/22: SOIL PREP Day. Get hands-on experience amending the soil in Aurora Seed Farm. Learn how to figure your compost amendment, what other amendments your soil might require, and get your hands a little dirty prepping 1000 square feet of growing space. (WEATHER MAKE UP DAY: MAY1)
5/15/22: IRRIGATION Day. Automating the watering schedule at this Revols Beehive site is paramount to the success of our garden. Learn how to save water and time: help put together our irrigation system and learn to save time and water in your own garden. (Inclement weather makeup day scheduled for May 21.)
6/4 & 6/5 PLANTING Day. Join our coordinated effort to get our plants in the ground! Learn how to plant a transplant also known as a seedling! All participants will leave with a couple of plants for their own growing spaces, whether a container, bed, or landscape.
6/26/22 TRELLIS the FELLAS Class So many ways to trellis our trailing plants. Join the Aurora Seed Farm in building and setting up lots of different trellis methods, including re-using sunflower stalks.
7/2/22 Pinching and Pruning Class What is the deal with pruning tomatoes? What does pinching mean? This short class covers how to identify where to prune your tomatoes, why you might want to prune your tomatoes, and what happens if you choose to let them be wild. We will also demonstrate and practice 'pinching' for flower production. (Attendance limited to 8. Please notice NO Inclement weather makeup day scheduled.)
7/10/22 Weed ID Day Common Colorado weeds and how to recognize them. Hands-on approach to ridding the garden of weeds. How, what, and when is most important when managing them in the landscape. (Attendance limited to 8. Please notice NO Inclement weather makeup day scheduled.)
7/23/22 Sexy Parts: Plant Reproduction Class: Learn flower & vegetable reproduction with your eyes and hands so that you can save seeds for next year.
8/6/22 Harvest Your Veggies Class: Knowing when your vegetables are ripe or Overripe can mean the difference between eating and saving seeds. Here you will learn what it should look like for peak flavor and how to harvest and store it.

9/24/22 Wet and Dry Seed Harvest Class: Did you grow a tomato that you loved? Did you grow one that performed well to weather or another circumstance? Maybe you want to save the seeds! Join us in the garden to process some tomatoes for seed!
