Today as many of you know is the first day of the blessed month of Thul Hijja, The Messenger of Allah SAAW as saying: There is no virtue more to the liking of Allah in any day than in these days, that is, the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah. So, we remind ourselves to do good deeds as much as we can during these 10 days. A friendly reminder to seek the reward of fasting the Day of Arafah (Thursday 7/30/2020) if you're able to. Abu Qatadah Al-Ansari (RAA) narrated, ‘The Messenger of Allah SAAW was asked about fasting on the day of Arafah (the 9th day of Thul Hijjah). He replied, "Fasting on the day of Arafah is an expiation for the preceding year and the following year.”.
Eid will be on Friday 7/31 and we will have inshallah 3 Eid prayers (7:30am, 8:10am and 8:50am) Registration is required to attend. Not registering will not guarantee you a spot and you might be turned away.
Eid Salat Requirements:
1- To attend the Eid Salat you must pre-register below.
2- First Eid prayers at 7:30am will be for brothers only. No kids under the age of 12 will be allowed at the Masjid for any of the 3 prayers.
3- Second Eid prayers at 8:10am and 3rd Eid prayers at 8:50am sisters are welcome.
4- Must wear a mask and bring your own prayers rug to attend. (You won't be able to come in if you're not wearing a mask)
5- Please practice social distancing and avoid hand shaking and hugging after the prayers. Verbal salam is sufficient.
6- Please leave the Masjid and the parking lot immediately after the Eid Khutbah to allow us to sanitize the Masjid and allow the next group to come in.
7- No food will be allowed at the Masjid, so kindly don't bring any food to share at the Masjid.
8- ISCS does not have access to any farms for Udhiyah this Eid, if you feel comfortable doing it online there are many reputable websites (https://irusa.org/) (https://www.adahi.org/) (www.icnarelief.org/Qurbani) and many others.
