Begin Again Horse Rescue
Due to COVID restrictions, we now must limit Saturday volunteers and require pre-registration. Each volunteer should be registered seperately, including children. We will follow NYS guidelines, asking all volunteers to remain 6 feet apart or wear a mask. Proper disinfection will be done in all common areas and of all common tools.
Saturday morning farm work may include cleaning stalls, paddocks, sheds, raking, sweeping, cobwebbing, scrubbing buckets or troughs, and any other projects that may be needed around the farm. During summer months, we always need help with general lawn maintenance.
Please wear closed-toe shoes at all times, bring work gloves if desired, and bring your own water bottle (we can supply the water). Dress for the weather, and expect to get dirty!
Please arrive promptly at 10 am to get checked in and have a brief orientation if you are new. Children under 14 are welcome with an adult working alongside, but again, please register them as well, so we have an accurate count of people each day.
Because our horses are rescues and sometimes come from difficult backgrounds, we cannot always guarantee volunteers direct contact with the horses. We do endeavor to offer volunteers the opportunity towork hands on with the horses to groom and attend to them when it is possible.
Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Thank you!
