GATES AND INFORMATION TENTS

Work at one of the Gates, or in one of the Information Tents, or both.  These roles are traditionally very popular due to interaction with a lot of visitors and working alongside other volunteers.

Important points to note: 

• All volunteers must be 16 years of age, or older.  Younger volunteers may only register if prior permission is granted by the Volunteer Co-Chair for that area. 
• Roles handling money must be 19 years of age, or older. 
• Note any preference(s) or competencies in the Comments for planning purposes including:
  • Whether or not you wish to handle money
  • Experience, qualifications or considerations to help schedule, allocate tasks, and balance teams
• On the day you sign in to work at the Volunteer Registration Tent, the Gates and Information Coordinator will allocate roles and work locations.  You may be assigned to work at a location other than your first preference, due to overall considerations.
• If you prefer to be scheduled to work with another person, both people should state this preference, and the other person's name, in the Comments section.
• Information Tent Helpers may be called upon to help at the Gates, if required.
• Volunteers, at the Gates especially, should expect high traffic volumes and slow times.
• Your time, flexibility and courtesy are much appreciated, as they are key for everyone to maximize their enjoyment of the festival!
