Saint Arnold Beer Garden and Restaurant (BG&R) is hosting minimal contact voter registration each Saturday in September and on October 3rd. You will be stationed under a shade canopy outside the east entrance (off the parking lot) to the BG&R.
Volunteers are asked to distribute mail-in voter registration forms and encourage patrons to scan (take a picture) of the Information sheets with links and QR codes that direct folks to websites where they can either:
- request a voter registration application (LWV-H will mail them the application),
- change their address online if they have moved within the same county since the last election,
- access voter information from vote411.org
If they request an application then provide them with a mail-in Secretary of State Voter Registration Application. If possible ask applicants to use their own pen, but we will also provide pens. However, if they borrow a pen you must wipe it down afterward.
If they are already registered to vote. Thank them for that and then encourage them to help us register others by taking a picture of the Information Sheet so that they can share with others who are not registered or need to update their address. You can also encourage them to share the information on social media or to print it out and post it at work or elsewhere.
Keep track of the number of forms you distribute and number of folks that scan the QR codes. Report these data back to [email protected]
