We are excited about the decision your child has made to be part of our Leadership Roles. These roles are designed to exemplify students' leadership potential and support the needs of our school community.
Use the information below to better understand the requirements of the leadership role and see if it’s a viable option for your child. You can find more information by referencing our Shaffer Leadership Roles website HERE. Sign up for a spot below once you are ready. A reminder email reminder will be sent to you before your student's role begins.
Pod Door Greeter- Open to grades K-5. Students in this role will greet students from 8:50-8:55am. These students will hold the doors open and greet students and others entering the building. This role will run 4 weeks in this session. The steps to be successful for this role are outlined below.
Check in with your teacher then report to your assigned Pod (A, D, or E) at 8:48 each morning and stand by the doors at the end of the pod.
Hold outside doors open at 8:50 to let students into school.
Give each student a hello or a wave as they come in!
Be sure to dress warmly if it is cold outside since you will be standing outside.
Go to your classroom to report to your teacher at 9:00 when the bell rings
(If your child rides the bus or is unable to be here before the time identified above it is not a problem, they can just report to their assigned spot upon arrival.)
Please select ONE time slot for your student to fulfill their role as a Pod Door Greeter.The role will last 4 weeks, you are signing up for their starting date.
