Join us for Messy Church on December 16th at 4:30 pm!
This month's theme is "God So Loved the World," and is based on the following scripture passage:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." ~John 3:16-17 (NRSV)
In addition to lots of great activities and music based on our theme, we will have a visit from Santa and one of his elves, so be sure to come dressed in your holiday best--or tackiest--for memorable photos!
Messy Church is so named because life is messy, and God meets us wherever we are in the chaos; and because the model is interactive, using hands-on activities to reinforce a monthly biblical theme.
And Messy Church isn’t just for kids—it’s for EVERYONE! Created to be a multi-generational experience for the whole family, Messy Church allows us to celebrate God in a fresh, new way.
Each month we'll focus on a basic biblical theme in a variety of interactive ways. Families will gather in a relaxed and comfortable setting to explore their faith through engaging games, crafts, and activities, then celebrate together through music, prayer, and retelling of a Bible story in a fully participatory setting. They'll round out your experience with a family style dinner and go home with new ideas to connect with their families and with God.
