Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, Albuquerque, NM
Dear Saint George family,
Below you can find the church services that will be offered during the month of January. In addition to our regular schedule of services (Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesdays), there are a number of important saints and feast days during this month. Please note the following:
- There are a number of services celebrating the Theophany (Epiphany) on January 5th and 6th. Those services are distributed at various times on those two days, to allow for as many opportunities as possible for people to worship.
- We will celebrate an early-morning Orthros and Divine Liturgy on the 20th for St. Efthymios the Great, with Orthros at 6 am and Liturgy from 7-8 am, again to allow those who work 9-5 jobs an opportunity to worship.
- We will celebrate an evening Orthros and Divine Liturgy on the 29th for the Three Hierarchs (Sts. Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian, and John Chrysostom), with Orthros at 4:30 pm and Liturgy from 5:45-7:00, to allow those who work 9-5 jobs an opportunity to celebrate these great saints of our Church.
- Finally, we will celebrate a small Vigil service on Monday, February 1st, for the great feast of the Presentation of Christ in the Temple. Vespers will begin at 4 pm, Orthros at 5:15, and Liturgy from 6:30-7:45.
At this time, we are limited to 36 attendees per service (including priest, chanter(s), and parish council) seated inside the church. There will also be additional seating in the church hall as well. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you have signed up for a service but then are unable to attend, please be sure to cancel your registration so that someone else can come.
We look forward to seeing you and worshipping together in person! As always, services will continue to be live-streamed as well for those who are physically unable to attend but still desire to worship.
In Christ's love,
Fr. Conan, Gabriel, and the Parish Council
