Our summer regatta, the Overpeck Summer Sprints Regatta, is planned for Saturday, July 30, 2022. For this to be a successful event we need lots of volunteers. Are you able to lend a hand?
Awards Person (Preparation before Regatta)
Prepare medals for each race in advance of race day
Set-up (3)
Help set-up signs around the park, prepare the course, make sure everything is ready.
Help set up tents, make sure the park is ready for the race.
Directing Traffic (4)
Help direct trailers, cars, chuck wagons to their correct locations.
First Aide Station (All Day) (2)
Staff a First Aide Station to assist injured participants
Lunch for Volunteers & Officials (12 PM) (2)
Distribute lunches to volunteers & officials
Dock Master (BCRA Dock) (2)
Direct launching and incoming boats on our two docks
Dock Master (Leonia Dock) (2)
Marshall on Water (Pinch Point Rocks)
Direct boat traffic on the lake during racing. This position requires knowledge of how to drive a motorboat.
Finish Line Assistant (4)
Assist with time keeping at the finish line
Awards Person
Award medals to the winners of their races
Take-down (after the end of the regatta) (3)
Help take down all signs, tents, etc.
