Spring Levesque Community Life Center Speaker Series

Please review the available slots below for our upcoming events and click on the button to sign up. 

All events will take place live in the Mayor Jean A. Levesque Community Life Center at 401 Bridge Street in Salem, MA. Masks and social distancing are recommended if you are not vaccinated, or if you are immune compromised.  Masks are also recommended for anyone participating in large indoor gatherings.

Admission is free but advanced registration is required in order to attend.

    "An Evening of Storytelling." Three well-known Salemites, Kim Driscoll, Lucy Corchado and Jim McAllister will share their experiences making a home and forging a career in our fair city.
  2. Tuesday, May 3, 2022
    "Public Health During a Global Pandemic" with David Greenbaum, health agent for the city of Salem.

    "The House of the Seven Gables: Preserving, Sharing and Contributing to the American Story" with Kara Mclaughlin, Executive Director.
  4. Tuesday, May 24, 2022
    "Malcolm Miller (1930-2014): Salem’s Eccentric Poet" with Rod Kessler, retired SSU English Professor, shares the story of one of Salem’s most unusual characters.
  5. Tuesday, May 31, 2022
    "Chalk Talk with the Superintendent" with Stephen Zrike, Salem’s Superintendent of Schools.
  6. Tuesday, June 7, 2022
    "History of Enslaved People of Massachusetts" with Vijay Joyce, Architectural Historian, Preservationist and Educator.
