St Marks UMC
59% of young adults who grew up in the church leave it between the ages of 18-29. It's a time period when they have questions and doubts, and if the church is not present to help them stay engaged to their faith, they look for answers somewhere else. The church ceases to be relevant to their lives.
We cannot sit by and do nothing. We cannot wait for them to come to us. We MUST go and answer the prayers of parents and grandparents everywhere, hoping their children stay close to Jesus as they go off to college and into the "real world."
God is calling our church to find a new way to engage young adults, and we have identified Bluffton as the place this will begin. Will you commit to praying with me daily, that God would grow something new within our church as we seek to reach the young adults of the Bluffton community? By adding your name, you are declaring with us that the church will not only survive, but that it will grow and thrive in this next generation!
Pastor Dan Metzger
You are making all things new.
Grow something new in us today.
Grow something new in your church.
Give us complete understanding of who you want us to be.
Give us the faith to believe you have called us.
Give us the peace to know you will lead us.
Give us the power to share your gospel.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
