Save the date! Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation Harvest Wine & Food Festival is returning to WaterColor the last weekend in October, and is poised to be bigger and better than ever. Rated as one of the premier wine and food festivals in the Southeast, Harvest provides patrons the opportunity to sip and savor some of the world’s finest wine and culinary selections.
We need your help! We have volunteer slots avaiable. Please see below for details and pick the slot you are interested in doing.
Wine pourer/floater (must be at least 21 years old) Time: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Volunteers will be assigned wine/spirits stations in pairs of 2. Take a tasting guide with you to your table, once there confirm all wines for the table are there. White wines need to be on ice. This is a tasting, 1 oz pours are appropriate. Open 1 bottle at a time. Pour only to those attendees with a wristband or vendor badge. Those without a wristband have not been ID'd. The distributor or supplier working the tent will review tasting notes with you prior to gates opening. Volunteers may NOT leave their wine booth without a representative present. Do not open any new bottles after 3:45PM. Package all unopened bottle back in box and leave behind table for DCWAF Event Staff to collect. **These samples DCWAF had to pay for, please do not let guests or anyone but staff with credentials collect these bottles**
8 Parking Guards Time: 1:00 PM—4:00 PM
Parking Guards are responsible for standing with barricades (used for road closures) and re-routing vehicles. Parking guards are also needed to move barricade (bike rack) in the event of an emergency vehicle needs access (Fire, Ambulance, Police).
