CommunityWise's next casino fundraiser is coming up Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Elbow River Casino (218 - 18 Avenue SE). We are recruiting daytime and evening shifts for the following positions: General Manager; Banker; Cashier; Chiprunner; Countroom Supervisor; Countroom Staff. Please see below for more details on each of these positions. Back-ups are also required for all timeslots in case of an absence. Volunteers can work more than one shift but must remain in the same position type across all shifts. All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
Volunteer Benefits: Volunteers will be provided with snacks and a meal as part of their shift. CommunityWise can also cover the cost of public transit and taxi transportation if needed. And...you'll get to meet other CommunityWise members and supporters!
Casino funds form a significant portion of CommunityWise's annual budget. We carry out a new casino fundraiser every 18-24 months. Funds raised go toward keeping our building operating by paying for things like electricity, water, snow removal, and janitorial services. They also ensure that we can continue to provide an affordable and essential community space!
