If you have chosen to do your book talk about your Fantasy book, please sign up for one of the weeks below.
Your book talk should be no more than 3 minutes. You should start with a line to intrigue your friends. Then, give a short plot summary without giving any spoilers. Finally, leave your classmates hanging and give them a reason to read the book. Within this description, you should tell the title, author and where the book can be accessed.
Do you ever wonder what it would be like to be pulled from our world in a magical world where gods and goddesses reign? That's exactly what happens to Odd in Odd and the Frost Giants by Niel Gaiman. Odd, a boy with a crippled leg, is drawn into the world of Asgard to save it from the evil frost giants and release Loki, Oden and Thor from spells that have forced them into the bodies of animals. But how can a boy with only one good leg defeat the frost giants? Check out the book from the Lower School library to find out!
