Sunday morning greeters are a vital and important part of our hospitality and connection ministry here at Messiah. A friendly welcome is a great way to start the worship experience – whether you are a first time guest or a long-time member. Whether you have served in this way before, or are just stepping into this area, would you prayerfully consider if there are Sundays where you could serve?
Each Sunday has two slots to accommodate individuals. But if your family is larger than two, feel free to serve together.
We ask that Greeters please arrive 15 – 20 minutes before the service begins. Your name tags will be on the station with the name tag basket. Please encourage those arriving to fill out a name tag. Because of the children's check in on the wall near where greeters used to stand, we are inviting greeters to stand behind or to the side of the name tag desk. There are stools that can be moved behind the name tag desk if you find that more comfortable. We are finding this gives us an opportunity to connect with everyone for a longer period of time. Because of cold and flu season, we encourage you to wait for people to reach out for a hand shake. If they don't, a small wave and a smile with your "good morning, so glad you are here" is wonderful.
Thank you again for sharing in or considering this ministry of hospitality at Messiah.
Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Thank you!
