Thank you for your interest in volunteering at CHHC. We are a volunteer organization located in the Shelby County Health Department that operates as a primary care facility for those who have limited access to care. CHHC serves the uninsured residents of Shelby County ages 19-64 that have no access to government programs or health insurance.
Spanish Interpreter: Fluent in Spanish to do medical interpreting.
Triage: Does basic triage, checks blood sugars, perfoms urinalysis as needed; RN, PT, OT EMT, CNA, LPN, MA, PCT/PCA. Nursing and Medical students are welcomed!
Office Assistant: Handle organizational and clerical support tasks.
Scribe: Specializes in charting provider-patient encounters during medical examination.
Reception: Welcome people into the clinic, checks in patients, checks out patient at the end of visit and schedules follow up appointment.
Clinic Attendant: Ensures that the rooms are set up properly in between patients, retrieves patient from the waiting room and places patient in the providers room.
Surveyor: Ensures the patient completes a survey at the end of each visit.
General Volunteer: This postion will be used in any area that needs a bit of help.
Intake: Assist in the vetting interview to confirm eligibity for potential and returning patients.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE! Please only sign up for one slot per shift. Dot not sign up for multiple slots on the same day. If you are unable to make it for a signed up shift, please remove yourself or contact a staff member in a timely manner to allow that available slot to be filled.
