Master Gardener Volunteers
Are you planning early for volunteer opportunities to earn Public Contact (PC) or Support (SH) hours in 2020?
King County Master Gardeners are a sought-after resource at local gardening events. The KCMG Program Office regularly receives requests for Master Gardeners to share their knowledge at events that support other nonprofit gardening organizations or community events.
A list of all events currently in need of Master Gardener volunteers is shown below. Just add your name to the slots that are open in order to sign up. You will receive a reminder about your event in advance.
Woodinville Library Programs. Maggie Windus will lead this event using our MG Teaching Kits. KCMGs will present monthly programs at Woodinville Library, Jan to May. Programs for children age 7+. 45-60 minute programs based on MG Teaching Kits. Classes are on the third Wed., Jan. through May, 2:30-4:30PM (includes setup, takedown).
If you are available and are willing to support us for the event, just add your name to that event. The number of volunteers is shown in parentheses by the event date. Note that some events may have a deadline by which we need to have a team of Master Gardeners who have committed to the event. If you see that notice, please sign up by that date indicated to ensure we can provide a clinic for the event.
These events will be handled like a pop-up clinic, and all materials needed will be made available to the team of Master Gardener volunteers for the event. Thank you for volunteering for these events.
Questions? Call the MG Program office, 206-685-5104 or email [email protected]. If you do sign up, you will be contacted with more details prior to the event. All materials will be provided, but pickup of a Clinic Resource Kit tote may been needed. All that is needed is your willingness to represent the Master Gardener Program and outreach to fellow gardeners by sharing your knowledge and support. Thank you.
