Plein Air Painting: Beyond Monet

Many people are aware that Monet painted out-of-doors, yet understand very little about the process and art historical context of his style of painting. As part of The Schweikher Houses's Conversations in the Studio series, attendees will dive deeper into the history and process of plein air painting, and learn about the modern resurgence of this movement.

The conversation will be facilitated by fine artist Maggie Capettini as she presents a history of plein air painting and shares her modern tools and equipment along with some of her completed paintings. For a limited time, following the lecture, attendees will have the opportunity to view the interior of The Schweikher House. Light refreshments will be served. $5 per person (pay at door). Space is limited and these lectures fill up fast!  Register now!
