Dawnland Screening

The Oaks School in collaboration with the Upstander Project will host a screening of "Dawnland". Dawnland is a documentary about cultural survival and stolen children: inside the first truth and reconciliation commission for Native Americans. Dawnland aired on Independent Lens in November 2018.

There will be a small reception beginning at 6:00 PM, the screening of Dawnland will begin at 7:00 PM and a short panel discussion immediately following the end of the documentary. 

This is a free event, however, donations are welcomed. 

Use of the school premises has been granted pursuant to the provisions of Sections 17400, et seq., of the Education Code of the State of California to Greenway Arts Alliance from the Board of Education of the Los Angeles Unified School District. LA Unified and the Board of Education does not sponsor or take responsibility, nor does it endorse any of the activities, statements or opinions which may be expressed at this meeting/activity.
