Project Hawai’i Inc
Aloha, thank you for choosing to spend a few hours with our Homeless Keiki and teens this summer. By sharing your talents, you are helping our children to learn and grow while opening up a new world for them.
For 2020 we are actually opening our camp to even more supportive resorces to our precious keiki. Please see the SLOTS BELOW carefully to assure you are signing up for the proper age group.
Our main camp is full of little one's between the ages of 5-7. We suggest your activities are geared towards first grade levels... most have social and life challenges and sometimes it is best for the overall experience.
This year we are also opening the guests to work with just our younger campers the 3 and 4 year olds. This would be very pre-school geared activities. These children have NO school experience. They have shorter attention span. You will be working with these children during the same time as another is working with the older children.
One more addition we will be open to considering is a workshop or leadership program for our jr leaders. This would be working with just this age group on their own personal growth. If this is something you are interested in providing, please connect with me. I will open ONE SLOT during our session.
You will have jr leaders 10-12 years of age and teen mentors to “help”, but these participants are also practicing their roles!
Please choose the time slot that works best for you. Please note the location of event. Please arrive early for your set up time. Please bring a small support group that might be needed to carry out your project.
Please be descriptive with your activity and what the lesson is for our children. Please bring all supplies needed for the activity. We do have basic scissors and crayons... we are renting the cabins so do not have a full stock of supplies readily accessible. I will be able to give you a head count of the age group you are working with to help you prepare properly. (gender can also be provided if necessary)
REQUIRED!! Please bring 40 healthy snacks and drinks for the children. Please note we do not have cups available, we use single serve drinks for health restrictions.
Please email with questions or concerns. ProjectHawaiiSummerCamp@HelptheHomelessKeiki.org
Once you submit your interest I will review and then confirm your slot and request. Just by signing up does NOT guarentee your acceptance.
Other notes to remember. We can not accommodate large groups of helpers. We have some photo restrictions for the children privacy. No animals are allowed on site!!! Please do not jeapordise our permit or future events.
