To perform on this year's Music pandeMAYnia Virtual Open Mic, sign up here by May 3. Be sure to tell us your instrument and the type of music you plan to perform.
In conjunction with Winchester Together, a community-based initiative of events and acts of kindness to address isolation and pandemic fatigue, WCMS and the Winchester Unitarian Society are co-hosting a virtual Open Mic. John Kramer, music director at WUS and former faculty member at WCMS, will facilitate this fun evening of music, community, and comraderie. Watch the event live on the WCMS YouTube channel, and learn more about Winchester Together on Facebook and Instagram.
Performer sign up is limited to the first 15 performers. Don't delay, performer slots fill up quickly! There is no limit on the number of listeners who can tune in!
Click on the Sign Up button to sign up as an act, then click the Submit and Sign Up button on the bottom of the page. The playing order for performers will be randomly determined prior to the virtual open mic. On the morning of the open mic we will send an email to all the musical acts with instructions on how to join the stream. The event will be hosted on Streamyard and streamed live to the music school's YouTube channel. Each act gets to perform 2 songs or for 5 minutes (whichever comes first). No-shows will not be allowed to sign up for future open mics. If you have extenuating circumstances and need to cancel, please email us ahead of time so we can plan. There will be a sound check at 6 PM the night of the Open Mic, all performers are asked to log in at that time to check their set up.
Remember that this is an all ages event. Please keep all material respectful and family friendly.
Congratulate your pandeMAYnia performer with a Shout Out message that will be displayed during Music pandeMAYnia! Shout Outs can be purchased through April 24 by visiting the "Donate Now" page on the WCMS website. All proceeds benefit the WCMS Annual Fund, which supports the operations of the school and provides financial aid to ensure that music is accessible to all.
