Are you excited to try a new instrument, or gain more experience as a beginning player? Do you want a jumpstart on playing in a band program? Choose a brass, woodwind or percussion instrument and learn to play it in a fun group setting. Open to beginners and students with 1-2 years of basic instruction, the program offers hands-on experience learning the fundamentals of the band instrument family. Along with the daily instrument classes, there will be special workshops and activities. You'll learn to play with your peers and give a performance at the end!
Come to a "Meet the Instruments" session this spring to learn more, and for help choosing an instrument if you're undecided. (If you already know which instrument you want to focus on, that's great!) An ensemble level is available for students with some playing experience.
Instruments to choose from:
- Woodwinds: clarinet, flute, saxophone
- Brass: trombone, trumpet
- Percussion: snare drum, timpani, xylophone

Program Dates: June 24-28, 2019 (Monday-Friday)
