First Refugee Family of 2021!

We just received notice that a family of 5 (soon to be 6!) will be arriving in Pittsburgh on January 22nd. We're very excited about their arrival. Mom of the family is halfway through a pregnancy and we're overjoyed for her to have a safe, stable home here in Pittsburgh to welcome the new baby. The family already has 3 boys (ages 3, 6, and 9). 

They're from Africa and this will more than likely be their first experience with winter weather.

We have several donations leftover from the family (from Syrian) that had their travel canceled. We will be using a large chunk of those donations for this family.

In order to adequately prepare for the arrival, we will need to have any donations to use no later than 1/21 (preferably before noon).

You are also welcomed to drop items off at the address above (just via the porch, no contact). There is a turnaround at the end of my street, between the no parking signs. 

If you are unable to make it to Mt. Washington, reach out to me and we can find a better location for your drop. However, the office is still closed due to COVID-19.
