Tampa International Airport Mass Casualty Exercise

The Tampa International Airport will be conducting a full scale mass casualty emergency response exercise on Friday, September 6, 2019. The exercise will simulate an off-airport aircraft accident in Tampa Bay will mutiple responding agencies from around the region. Volunteer accident victims are needed to portray passengers from the downed flight and friends/family members at the airport. Volunteers who select the Gandy Ramp assignment are cautioned to be mindful of hot weather conditions; you will be outside for an extended period of time; there is a small building to provide relief shelter if needed and water will be available throughout the exercise. Volunteers at both locations will be provided with a light lunch.
VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN: All volunteers will be required to check-in day of drill at the Tampa International Airport Boardroom. Please park in the Short Term Parking Garage and take the BLUE elevators to the 3rd Floor. Once you exit the elevators, look for Airside "A". The Boardroom is located down an adjacent hallway near the restrooms. Check-in will begin at 8:00 a.m. Volunteers who will chose to assist at the Gandy site will be transported shortly following check-in.
