Social hall monitors are very important for keeping things fun and safe for all our kids. All students in the building without a parent/guardian must either be in class or social/study hall. Social hall monitors need to check in these students and issue name tags as well as collect them when they leave. Social hall monitors need to walk around the building to monitor students. You will not be able to work with your own children or sit and read. Get to know the students! Be friendly and encouraging, but remind them to pick up their own trash, keep their stuff in the right place, and be respectful of other people and things. They should not be allowed to loiter in the hallway. There are many expensive instruments that need to be kept safe. Help them clean up their own messes. Social hall monitors will also help keep the room clean. Tables and chairs need to be set up at the beginning of the day and taken down at the end.
