Twelfth Night tells the story of Viola, a young heroine who washes up on the shores of Illyria, disguises herself as a man, and falls hard for Orsino. As she navigates this strange and wonderful new land, she finds her true self and true love in the process. We are looking to cast a diverse group of performers, young and old (kids over 10 welcome!) to fill the lead roles and ensemble. Our production will have a “Street Fair” theme so if you have a talent or skill that you think would fit the vibe we’d love to see it! Auditionees will be asked to sing, read, and dance. You can download copies of the selected readings and music attached to this sign-up.
WHAT TO BRING: Please bring a resume, photo and your list of possible conflict dates. (A draft copy of the schedule will be available for your review at the audition.)
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE: Rehearsals will be on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays beginning January 5th through March.
PERFORMANCE DATES: March 27th, 28th, & 29th and April 3rd & 4th
VIOLA - mezzo-soprano with a belt: mid-20s to early 30s, Sebastian's twin sister. Attractive, smart,
funny - deeply felt and romantic: this is the signature character for the play’s emotional story. All

and romantic. Bold, brave, and confident. All Ethnicities.
OLIVIA - mezzo-soprano with a belt: 30s to 40s, a Countess. Beautiful, refined, highly-educated,
strongly passionate, and grief-ridden to begin – she becomes a witty, direct, sophisticated yet canny
and enthusiastic fool for love. All Ethnicities.
ORSINO - bari-tenor: 30’s to 40s, a powerful nobleman in the country of Illyria. An established bachelor, Orsino is lovesick for the beautiful Lady Olivia, but becomes more and more fond of his handsome new page boy, Cesario, who is actually a woman—Viola. All Ethnicities.
MALVOLIO - tenor: 45+, a steward to Olivia. A self-important, narcissistic, servant. He is the
comic buffoon and the target of Toby’s and Andrew’s tomfoolery. All Ethnicities.

FESTE - mezzo-soprano: 20s to 30s, will consider both men and women for this role. ‘A street musician’ he/she earns their living by making pointed jokes, singing old songs, being generally witty, and offering good advice cloaked under a layer of foolishness. In spite of being a travelling ‘fool’, Feste often seems the wisest character in the show. Ideally plays an instrument, please bring one if you play and are auditioning for this role. ANTONIO - bari-tenor: 20s to 30s, will consider both men and women for this role, the
rescuer/caretaker of Sebastian. May be crushing on him too. All Ethnicities.
