Kids In Need Minnesota
In 2019, we are coming together with our community of partners, supporters, family, and friends to ensure all students have access to quality school supplies to learn and succeed in the classroom. This special event is dedicated to supporting students across the state through preparing and packing essential learning materials that will be distributed to Minnesota schools most in need.
In 2018, Kids In Need Minnesota helped nearly 100,000 students and over 4,000 teachers throughout the state!
In the heart of back-to-school season, we will be celebrating our dedication to local educators and students by preparing school supplies for distribution to students throughout Minnesota. Serving with the community in a high-energy atmosphere, volunteers and supporters from across the Twin Cities will engage in a 24-hour pack-a-thon to fulfill the school supply needs for thousands of Minnesota students. The event will consist of twelve 2- hour volunteer events, includes snacks and beverages, and an opportunity for volunteers to win prizes.
We'll also be asking our volunteers to bring along donations of NEW school supplies to keep our Resource Center stocked and full for Minnesota Educators! We'll be accepting a wide variety of items including crayons, markers, notebooks, folders, glue and glue sticks, art and craft supplies, hygiene products, books and much more!
For this event, we ask all volunteers to wear closed toed shoes and comfortable clothing. Our entrance is around the back of our building and you'll be entering through the Teacher's Entrance doors.
