PSA Phoenix Rising Robotics Tournament Volunteer Signup

Palmetto Scholars Academy High School Robotics Team is hosting a VRC Tower Takover state qualifing tournament on February 1st, 2020.  We need approximately 20 volunteers to make it a successful event.  Even if you have no experiance you can volunteer for any role.  You will be provided with all the information and training you need.  Be a part of all the fun and excitment of Vex Robotics and help PSA make our tournament one of the permier robotics competitions in the state.

Field Manager

Someone with tournament experience to manage everything happening around the fields including referees, queuing and TM operators.


Head Referee

Head Referee volunteers observe matches, identify rule violations, and enforce the VRC Tower Takeover game manual.


Vex TM Operator (2)

VEX TM Operators are responsible for using Tournament Manager Software to initiate matches, record scores, and display match results and awards information at appropriate times.

Queuing volunteers assist the Field Manager and Head Referee with staging teams for upcoming matches.

Field Resetter (8)

Ideal for MS students - Accurately reset scoring objects and game elements on the VRC competition field after each match.

Emcee (2)

During VRC tournaments, the Emcee provides the play-by-play of the match, engaging the audience with effective color commentary regarding the action on the field. The Emcee also introduces the participating teams and provides informative program knowledge


Scorekeeper Referee (6)

Scorekeeper Referee volunteers assist with recording and verifying scores using either score sheets or electronic tablets.
