As of June 1, the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina is in Phase 3 of its Regathering Plan. Beginning Sunday, June 20, St. Paul’s Church will enact the changes below to our worship services. Our COVID-19 Protocol Committee Protocol is committed to making sure that all feel welcome and safe while worshiping. It’s important to remember that any gathering contains a risk of exposure to COVID-19 or other illnesses. We will continue to offer a live stream option at 9:00 a.m. for those who wish to worship remotely. Please do not hesitate to reach out to [email protected] if you have questions or concerns.
How does this affect the service you attend?
Sunday Service at 7:30 a.m. – Sanctuary
- Masks required for all
- Fully-vaccinated readers and preachers may remove their masks for their appointed role in the service, provided that social distancing measures are observed
- No singing at this service
- No capacity limits
- All may pre-register online for service or sign in at arrival
- Side wings of the church continue to observe social distancing
Sunday Service at 9:00 a.m. – Sanctuary
- Masks required for all
- Fully-vaccinated readers and preachers may remove their masks for their appointed role in the service, provided that social distancing measures are observed
- No capacity limits
- All may pre-register online for service or sign in at arrival
- Side wings of the church will continue to observe social distancing
- This service will continue to be live-streamed
- No coffee hour at this time (bringing back in the fall)
Masks
- Required for all indoors
- Required for non-vaccinated people outdoors if you are not able to adhere to social distancing requirements
Social Distancing
- Recommended for all (indoors and outdoors)
- Fully vaccinated people are not required to adhere to social distancing
- Non-vaccinated people should practice social distancing (honor system)
- All capacity limits are lifted provided that there is room to observe social distancing measures
Youth and Children
- Those over the age of 12 are required to follow the same guidelines as adults as they are able to be vaccinated
- Those under the age of 12 are not yet eligible for the vaccination and should wear masks and adhere to social distancing protocols when meeting
- Children aged 2 and under not required to wear a mask
- Facemasks are required for non-vaccinated (indoors), but may be considered optional if social distancing followed (outdoors)
- Kids’ Club services to resume in the fall
