AfrikaBurn 2020: Afroboratory
Media Centre Volunteers
The Media Centre greets and welcomes members of the media, photographers, filmmakers and journalists. The role is to explain what the media accreditation is about and connect them with members of the organization, if required. Volunteers register approved media representatives at the event who have applied for, and received, accreditation prior to arriving at the event.
This shift is short and sharp - only 2 hours long - and a lot of fun.
Media Centre Lead
The Lead oversees the running of the Centre and briefs volunteers when they arrive on shift. This role is for anyone who has volunteered at the Centre before or has a keen interest in all things relating to media, film and photo etc. Media Leads will get trained on site by members of AfrikaBurn's Communications team.
The morning shift is three hours long and the afternoon shift is 2 hours. This allows for overlap.
