Update 2/16/2021: Current number of hotel guests is 11 for dinner. However, for lunch we take 11 lunches to BW and feed about 2 at SWH, so we are asking for 13 lunches or 11 dinners.
Two are diabetic (Coke Zero is preferred over Diet Coke) and one does not eat pork, one follows kosher rules (no pork or shellfish; meat not combined with dairy or eggs; but does not have to be certified kosher). A vegetarian meal will work.
We are still good on chips. Fresh fruit and beverages still welcome. If you're headed here and have empty egg cartons I have a friend who needs them for a food pantry so feel free to leave them in the kitchen for me. Thanks so much!

Summit Warm Hearts is a daytime warming center for food- and housing-insecure neighbors of Summit, NJ. We are open from 10-2, seven days a week (provided we have enough volunteer hosts) and offer a place to warm up with coffee, bagels, a hot lunch, and a shower. SWH is located in Fellowship Hall, lower level of Beacon UUC, 4 Waldron Avenue in Summit. If you are able to host, please see this signup:

In addition to our onsite warming center we are providing lunch and dinner to guests who are temporarily sheltered at the Best Western in New Providence. We are thrilled to be able to provide a safe, warm, and very comfortable space for them there. They have plates, utensils, and microwaves in each room.
Lunch can be sandwiches, or a hot lunch like a casserole or stew, for the current number of guests (see above!) brought to SWH at 4 Waldron Avenue, by 11am, to be packaged and delivered by our hosts. We are always accepting donations of beverages (including some sugar free for our diabetic guests), fruit, and snacks. Applesauce cups are a popular treat!
Dinner must be individually packaged (no utensils or dishes needed) and delivered to the Best Western in New Providence. You can drop it off at the front desk and they will take care of delivery. Restaurant dinner deliveries are around 5-5:30, so if you can aim for this time, great, but no worries!
We are also very grateful to be accepting donated meals from Pizza Vita, Village Trattoria, Serra, Blossom, and Manhattan Bagel. Please see this signup if you are able to pick up and deliver meals from those restaurants:

And finally, we are seeking donations towards housing here:
