JLES Book Fair
The JLES Book Fair is a fun and popular event for students and families, but cannot happen without YOUR help. The following volunteer roles are needed:
Decorating Assistant - help put up the decorations in the JLES hallways and Media Center one night before the Fair opens, including moving furniture and shelving
Set-up the Fair - assist in moving furniture and shelving, putting up decorations, and unpacking and preparing the book display cases before the Fair opens
Shopping Assistant - help students find and write down books they are interested in buying and help all shoppers find books
Family Night Food Sales - help sell pizza and chicken in the hallway outside the Fair
SSL Volunteers - there are several openings for student helpers, duties will vary
Tear Down the Fair - help repack books, remove decorations, clean up, and return the Media Center to normal after the Fair closes
**ALL VOLUNTEERS** - MCPS requires all parent volunteers who are in the school during the day to have completed the "Child Abuse & Neglect" training. If you completed the training last year or the year prior, your certification is still valid. This online training can be found at http://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/childabuseandneglect/ After finishing the training, print out your completion certificate and bring it to the front office. Thank you!
