Let's share the Bible stories that bind us together as community! We are asking a wide variety of people in the congregation to choose one, two, or a few Sundays and share approximately 5-10 minutes of their time at the start of Sunday School to tell the story we will be focusing on as a congregation that week. This can be done as an individual storyteller, as a family, or by incorporating Sunday School kids to play out the roles in an impromptu way, using minimal props, puppets, or any other way you want to try. We ask you don't simply read the story from the Bible but tell the story in an engaging way. It's important to note that students will respond to a wide variety of storytelling styles so don't worry about being making it a big production. We just need kids to know that it's important to us all to learn these stories, share them, and remember them in our every day lives.
Please sign up for as many Sundays as you are comfortable with. You will receive a copy of the Story Bible version of the lesson for the date you chose via email. We use the Story Bible version so the message will be understood by even the youngest kids. The message will expand into greater complexity for older students in the age appropriate break-outs following the assembly.
Thanks and we are excited to start learning together as the body of Christ!
