Foundation for the Homeless
The Feed My People Breakfast on Tuesday and Thursday mornings is a program of Foundation for the Homeless. The Feed My People breakfast, like so many other aspects of our lives, has been impacted by COVID-19. We continue to make accommodations as we serve our neighbors experiencing homelessness to ensure that we can still provide for the needs of the most vulnerable without putting anyone, especially our vulnerable neighbors, at greater risk.
We are pleased to announce that our Tuesday/Thursday breakfasts is returning to indoor service beginning Tuesday, March 22.
FMP is each Tuesday and Thursday in the Family Life Center of First United Methodist Church, 1300 Lavaca. Volunteers are needed to serve in various roles inside and outside each Tuesday and Thursday.
- Volunteers are required to register in advance to serve as we will continue to observe applicable CDC guidelines during the breakfast.
- All volunteers are asked to be vaccinated for COVID-19 and will be required to wear a mask throughout their time of service.
- Service groups are asked to not send more than three members to a breakfast and to list each expected attendee by name. Groups of 3 or more are asked to contact Randy at [email protected] before registering to serve.
- Cancelations: If you have signed up and find you will not be able to serve, please return to the signup sheet and follow the instructions to delete your registration, preferably at least 24 hours in advance of your service time. We need everyone to fulfill their commitment so that we can meet our client’s needs and expectations. Failure to attend may result in your being asked to not serve at future breakfasts.
Please review the attached FMP Emergency Protection Procedures before serving.
