Mediation is a confidential and voluntary process to help parents change custody and parenting time orders by agreement and without having to go to court. In mediation, parents meet with a neutral third party who will help them talk about custody and parenting time issues. The mediator can help prepare an order if the parents reach an agreement. The mediator does not make decisions or issue recommendations to the court. You can learn more about mediation here: https://www.accesskent.com/Courts/FOC/mediation.htm.
If you and the other parent agree to participate in FOC mediation, please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Both parents must sign up for the same day and time. Please be sure both parents sign up by noon on the Friday before the mediation.
You will receive a ZOOM link in your email 24-48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Find more information about ZOOM here: https://zoom.us/freesignup. Please note, confidential domestic violence screening is required by law for all mediations. A mediator might call you before your scheduled mediation to conduct this screening.
