Our second annual Feast and Stories will return this year with an Indian theme. Taste authentic Indian meals prepared by our parishioners from India. Please use the online signup form to order as quantity is limited. For the safety of everyone, food will be served in take out containers. There will be no in-person dining in the parish center.
There is no charge for your order. Donations are welcome to support Her Place - Emergency Women's shelter in Rock Hill, SC. Checks can be made payable to Her Place. P O Box 11405, Rock Hill, SC 29731. You can drop off your donations while picking up the food.

About Her Place
Her Place is a non-profit twenty-four hour emergency women's shelter for homeless women eighteen and older where they can live in a drug free environment of safety, acceptance, peace, forgiveness, and healing to recover from their traumas through mentoring and education that will help them deepen their faith in God and in themselves and lead them to a place of self-sufficiency.
Traditional Indian food
Kerala chicken curry- Kerala also known as the Land of Coconut trees in the southern most state in India is flanked by the Arabian sea on one side and the Indian ocean on the south. This beautiful state has the most population of Christians in India. This chicken curry is made with fresh spices and slow cooked in coconut milk. Served with rice.
Chicken 65 - A popular spicy chicken dish in many Indian restaurants here. This is a spicy appetizer prepared by marinating bite size pieces of chicken in a yogurt chilly garlic mix.
Cauliflower sabji - Cauliflower, peas and potatoes are lightly sauted in ginger garlic. This dry vegetable is served with rice or Naan.
Jeera rice - India is the #2 consumer of rice in the world after China. Most of the traditional dishes are rice based; either cooked, flattened, or ground. Jeera (local name for cumin seed) helps in digestion. This aromatic rice dish is lightly spiced with whole spices and has the earthly flavors of cumin.
Naan- Traditional Indian flat bread flavored with garlic. Usually goes well with chicken curry or vegetable.
Rasmalai - Sweet Indian dessert made with Indian cheese (paneer).
Do you know these spices? The spices give the flavor to our food. Here is the list of spices that will be used to prepare the dishes: ginger, garlic, cardamom, cloves, cinnammon, cloves, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, bay leaves, anise seed, turmeric, chilly powder, nutmeg (whole including petals).
