Safety is our number one concern. Please ensure vehicles park in designated areas, that you determine, and runners are safe at all times. Remind runners to wear their required reflective safety gear (vest, headlamp, taillamp)from dusk to dawn. You are in charge of your location so do your best to ensure things run smoothly but also let runners have fun. If there is a problem do what you can to solve it in a diplomatic way. Please inform relay officials of any serious problems. They will check-in on you, if they are in your vicinity. Please note that we may be asked you to move locations at the last minute, depending on the situation. We thank you in advance for being flexible.
It is not required but suggested that have a first aid kit or other emergency supplies such as a blanket and extra water that you can keep a your vehicle in case of an emergency.
When the last runner has passed, place all race supplies in the designated bag for later pick-up and you are free to leave. As you depart please consider stopping at relay exchanges along the way and check-in on your fellow volunteers still on assignment. See if they need anything and give them a cheer.

RELAY SUPPLIES & T-SHIRT
As you arrive at your exchange please find in a red cinch bag, your volunteer shirt and a folder with all the teams listed and a space to write in the time of day they pass your exchange. Please LEAVE the folder at the exchange (near the flag) put a rock on top of it so it dosent blow away. DO NOT TAKE IT WITH YOU. Our course sweeper will pick it up.
Direct traffic and track team times as they enter the exchange location. Being an exchange point volunteer is particularly exciting as you get to see the runners in action. It can also be at an odd time of the night. We appreciate your spirit of adventure and your flexibility with this important part of the event.
