Men's Shelter Dinner Service - June 24, 2022

Dear St. Gabriel Shelter Volunteers,

Our next monthly dinner service at the Roof Above Men's Shelter will be Friday, June 24, 2022. There will be two shifts of seven volunteers each: Food Prep/Cooking from 2:30-5:30 pm and Serving Dinner from 5:30-7:30 pm. Please sign up for only one shift. Service Information:

• Dinner will be served from 6:00pm to 7:30pm 
• Menu: Oven roasted chicken leg quarters, potato salad, blackeye peas, tossed salad, garlic bread, peach slices, and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies.
• Food Prep/Cooking (shift #1).
  • Maximum number volunteers will be 7 per shift.
  • 18 Years and older
  • 2:30 am-5:30pm
• Dinner Servers (shift #2)
  • Maximum number volunteers will be 7 per shift.
  • 16 Years and older
  • 5:30pm – 7:30pm
  • Roles: 5-plate the food/1-work the window & drink station/1-runner & dishwasher

COVID Information:

• Roof Above prides itself on being transparent and we will continue to keep group leaders informed regarding COVID policies, safety issues, protocol changes as well as any COVID outbreaks.
• Tyron will only operate 175 beds until further notice.
• Only ½ of the guests are vaccinated.
• The majority of Roof Above staff are vaccinated.
• No guests will be allowed to participate in the kitchen.
• Vaccines and masks are required for all volunteers.
• There will be limited guest interaction with our new serving protocol.
